Convert Gigabit to Megabyte
Unit definitions
Gigabit
${10}^{9}$ bits equal one gigabit.
Megabyte
${10}^{6}$ bytes equal one megabyte. It is also equal to ${10}^{3}$ kilobytes.
How to convert Gigabit to Megabyte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} \cdot 125$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{Gb}$ to $\text{MB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 25.0 \cdot 125$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 3125$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{Gb} = 3125 \ \text{MB}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{Gb}$ to $\text{MB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 70.0 \cdot 125$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 8750$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{Gb} = 8750 \ \text{MB}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{Gb}$ to $\text{MB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 105.0 \cdot 125$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 13125$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{Gb} = 13125 \ \text{MB}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{Gb}$ to $\text{MB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 145.0 \cdot 125$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 18125$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{Gb} = 18125 \ \text{MB}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{Gb}$ to $\text{MB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 160.0 \cdot 125$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}} = 20000$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{Gb} = 20000 \ \text{MB}$$
