Convert Kilobyte to Byte
Unit definitions
Kilobyte
${10}^{3}$ bytes equal one kilobyte.
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
How to convert Kilobyte to Byte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} \cdot 1000$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $45.0\ \text{KB}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 45.0 \cdot 1000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 45000$$
$$\therefore \ 45.0\ \text{KB} = 45000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{KB}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 90.0 \cdot 1000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 90000$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{KB} = 90000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{KB}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 110.0 \cdot 1000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 110000$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{KB} = 110000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{KB}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 145.0 \cdot 1000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 145000$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{KB} = 145000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 5
Convert $180.0\ \text{KB}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 180.0 \cdot 1000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 180000$$
$$\therefore \ 180.0\ \text{KB} = 180000 \ \text{B}$$
