Convert Mebibit to Byte
Unit definitions
Mebibit
${2}^{20}$ bits equal one mebibit.
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
How to convert Mebibit to Byte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mib}} \cdot 131072$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $20.0\ \text{Mib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 20.0 \cdot 131072$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 2621440$$
$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{Mib} = 2621440 \ \text{B}$$
Example 2
Convert $75.0\ \text{Mib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 75.0 \cdot 131072$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 9830400$$
$$\therefore \ 75.0\ \text{Mib} = 9830400 \ \text{B}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{Mib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 105.0 \cdot 131072$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 13762560$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{Mib} = 13762560 \ \text{B}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{Mib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 150.0 \cdot 131072$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 19660800$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{Mib} = 19660800 \ \text{B}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{Mib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 160.0 \cdot 131072$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 20971520$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{Mib} = 20971520 \ \text{B}$$
