Convert Hertz to Megahertz
Unit definitions
Hertz
The hertz is the SI unit of frequency. It is defined as the number of cycles in one second ($1\ \text{Hz} = 1\ \text{s}^{-1}$).
Megahertz
$10^{6} \ \text{Hz}$ is a megahertz.
How to convert Hertz to Megahertz
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{\text{Frequency}_{\text{Hz}}}{{10}^{6}}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $50.0\ \text{Hz}$ to $\text{MHz}$.
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{50.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = 0.00005$$
$$\therefore \ 50.0\ \text{Hz} = 0.00005 \ \text{MHz}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{Hz}$ to $\text{MHz}$.
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{70.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = 0.00007$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{Hz} = 0.00007 \ \text{MHz}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{Hz}$ to $\text{MHz}$.
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{105.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = 0.000105$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{Hz} = 0.000105 \ \text{MHz}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{Hz}$ to $\text{MHz}$.
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{145.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = 0.000145$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{Hz} = 0.000145 \ \text{MHz}$$
Example 5
Convert $190.0\ \text{Hz}$ to $\text{MHz}$.
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = \frac{190.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Frequency}_{\text{MHz}} = 0.00019$$
$$\therefore \ 190.0\ \text{Hz} = 0.00019 \ \text{MHz}$$
