Convert Bit to Kilobit
Unit definitions
Bit
The bit is the smallest unit of measurement in data and storage. It is used to indicate one of the two logic states: 0 or 1.
Kilobit
${10}^{3}$ bits equal one kilobit.
How to convert Bit to Kilobit
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{bit}}}{{10}^{3}}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $45.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Kb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{45.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = 0.045$$
$$\therefore \ 45.0\ \text{bit} = 0.045 \ \text{Kb}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Kb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{70.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = 0.07$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{bit} = 0.07 \ \text{Kb}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Kb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{120.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = 0.12$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{bit} = 0.12 \ \text{Kb}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Kb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{140.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = 0.14$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{bit} = 0.14 \ \text{Kb}$$
Example 5
Convert $185.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Kb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = \frac{185.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kb}} = 0.185$$
$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{bit} = 0.185 \ \text{Kb}$$
