Convert Bit to Megabit

Unit definitions

Bit

The bit is the smallest unit of measurement in data and storage. It is used to indicate one of the two logic states: 0 or 1.

Megabit

${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.

How to convert Bit to Megabit

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{bit}}}{{10}^{6}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $50.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Mb}$.

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{50.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00005$$

$$\therefore \ 50.0\ \text{bit} = 0.00005 \ \text{Mb}$$

Example 2

Convert $85.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Mb}$.

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{85.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.000085$$

$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{bit} = 0.000085 \ \text{Mb}$$

Example 3

Convert $110.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Mb}$.

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{110.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00011$$

$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{bit} = 0.00011 \ \text{Mb}$$

Example 4

Convert $145.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Mb}$.

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{145.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.000145$$

$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{bit} = 0.000145 \ \text{Mb}$$

Example 5

Convert $170.0\ \text{bit}$ to $\text{Mb}$.

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{170.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00017$$

$$\therefore \ 170.0\ \text{bit} = 0.00017 \ \text{Mb}$$
