Convert Gigabyte to Megabit
Unit definitions
Gigabyte
${10}^{9}$ bytes equal one gigabyte. It is also equal to ${10}^{3}$ megabytes.
Megabit
${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.
How to convert Gigabyte to Megabit
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} \cdot 8000$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{GB}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 25.0 \cdot 8000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 200000$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{GB} = 200000 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{GB}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 70.0 \cdot 8000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 560000$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{GB} = 560000 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 3
Convert $115.0\ \text{GB}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 115.0 \cdot 8000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 920000$$
$$\therefore \ 115.0\ \text{GB} = 920000 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 4
Convert $135.0\ \text{GB}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 135.0 \cdot 8000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 1080000$$
$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{GB} = 1080000 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 5
Convert $185.0\ \text{GB}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 185.0 \cdot 8000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 1480000$$
$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{GB} = 1480000 \ \text{Mb}$$
