Convert Kibibit to Byte
Unit definitions
Kibibit
${2}^{10}$ bits equal one kibibit.
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
How to convert Kibibit to Byte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Kib}} \cdot 128$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $30.0\ \text{Kib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 30.0 \cdot 128$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 3840$$
$$\therefore \ 30.0\ \text{Kib} = 3840 \ \text{B}$$
Example 2
Convert $80.0\ \text{Kib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 80.0 \cdot 128$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 10240$$
$$\therefore \ 80.0\ \text{Kib} = 10240 \ \text{B}$$
Example 3
Convert $115.0\ \text{Kib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 115.0 \cdot 128$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 14720$$
$$\therefore \ 115.0\ \text{Kib} = 14720 \ \text{B}$$
Example 4
Convert $135.0\ \text{Kib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 135.0 \cdot 128$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 17280$$
$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{Kib} = 17280 \ \text{B}$$
Example 5
Convert $200.0\ \text{Kib}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 200.0 \cdot 128$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 25600$$
$$\therefore \ 200.0\ \text{Kib} = 25600 \ \text{B}$$
