Convert Kibibyte to Kilobyte
Unit definitions
Kibibyte
${2}^{10}$ bytes equal one kibibyte.
Kilobyte
${10}^{3}$ bytes equal one kilobyte.
How to convert Kibibyte to Kilobyte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KiB}} \cdot 1.024$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $30.0\ \text{KiB}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 30.0 \cdot 1.024$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 30.72$$
$$\therefore \ 30.0\ \text{KiB} = 30.72 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{KiB}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 70.0 \cdot 1.024$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 71.68$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{KiB} = 71.68 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 3
Convert $115.0\ \text{KiB}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 115.0 \cdot 1.024$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 117.76$$
$$\therefore \ 115.0\ \text{KiB} = 117.76 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 4
Convert $135.0\ \text{KiB}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 135.0 \cdot 1.024$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 138.24$$
$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{KiB} = 138.24 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 5
Convert $175.0\ \text{KiB}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 175.0 \cdot 1.024$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 179.2$$
$$\therefore \ 175.0\ \text{KiB} = 179.2 \ \text{KB}$$
