Convert Megabit to Byte
Unit definitions
Megabit
${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
How to convert Megabit to Byte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = \text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} \cdot 125000$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 25.0 \cdot 125000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 3125000$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{Mb} = 3125000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 2
Convert $80.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 80.0 \cdot 125000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 10000000$$
$$\therefore \ 80.0\ \text{Mb} = 10000000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 120.0 \cdot 125000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 15000000$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{Mb} = 15000000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 140.0 \cdot 125000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 17500000$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{Mb} = 17500000 \ \text{B}$$
Example 5
Convert $170.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{B}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 170.0 \cdot 125000$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}} = 21250000$$
$$\therefore \ 170.0\ \text{Mb} = 21250000 \ \text{B}$$
