Convert Megabit to Gigabit
Unit definitions
Megabit
${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.
Gigabit
${10}^{9}$ bits equal one gigabit.
How to convert Megabit to Gigabit
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}}}{{10}^{3}}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $50.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{50.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.05$$
$$\therefore \ 50.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.05 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 2
Convert $65.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{65.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.065$$
$$\therefore \ 65.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.065 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{120.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.12$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.12 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{140.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.14$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.14 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 5
Convert $170.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{170.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.17$$
$$\therefore \ 170.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.17 \ \text{Gb}$$
