Convert Megabit to Gigabyte
Unit definitions
Megabit
${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.
Gigabyte
${10}^{9}$ bytes equal one gigabyte. It is also equal to ${10}^{3}$ megabytes.
How to convert Megabit to Gigabyte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}}}{8000}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $30.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{GB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{30.0}{8000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = 0.00375$$
$$\therefore \ 30.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.00375 \ \text{GB}$$
Example 2
Convert $65.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{GB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{65.0}{8000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = 0.008125$$
$$\therefore \ 65.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.008125 \ \text{GB}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{GB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{110.0}{8000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = 0.01375$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.01375 \ \text{GB}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{GB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{140.0}{8000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = 0.0175$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.0175 \ \text{GB}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{Mb}$ to $\text{GB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = \frac{160.0}{8000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{GB}} = 0.02$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{Mb} = 0.02 \ \text{GB}$$
