Convert Megabyte to Gigabit
Unit definitions
Megabyte
${10}^{6}$ bytes equal one megabyte. It is also equal to ${10}^{3}$ kilobytes.
Gigabit
${10}^{9}$ bits equal one gigabit.
How to convert Megabyte to Gigabit
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{MB}}}{125}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{MB}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{25.0}{125}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.2$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{MB} = 0.2 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 2
Convert $75.0\ \text{MB}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{75.0}{125}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.6$$
$$\therefore \ 75.0\ \text{MB} = 0.6 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{MB}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{105.0}{125}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 0.84$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{MB} = 0.84 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{MB}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{150.0}{125}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 1.2$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{MB} = 1.2 \ \text{Gb}$$
Example 5
Convert $165.0\ \text{MB}$ to $\text{Gb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = \frac{165.0}{125}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Gb}} = 1.32$$
$$\therefore \ 165.0\ \text{MB} = 1.32 \ \text{Gb}$$
