Convert Microvolt to Volt

Unit definitions

Microvolt

$\frac{1}{10^{6}} \ \text{V}$ is a microvolt.

Volt

The volt is the SI unit of electric potential. One volt is defined as the electric potential difference between two points on a conducting wire carrying one ampere of current and dissipating one watt of power.

How to convert Microvolt to Volt

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{μV}}}{{10}^{6}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $20.0\ \text{μV}$ to $\text{V}$.

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{20.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = 0.00002$$

$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{μV} = 0.00002 \ \text{V}$$

Example 2

Convert $70.0\ \text{μV}$ to $\text{V}$.

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{70.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = 0.00007$$

$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{μV} = 0.00007 \ \text{V}$$

Example 3

Convert $100.0\ \text{μV}$ to $\text{V}$.

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{100.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = 0.0001$$

$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{μV} = 0.0001 \ \text{V}$$

Example 4

Convert $145.0\ \text{μV}$ to $\text{V}$.

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{145.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = 0.000145$$

$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{μV} = 0.000145 \ \text{V}$$

Example 5

Convert $195.0\ \text{μV}$ to $\text{V}$.

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = \frac{195.0}{{10}^{6}}$$

$$\text{Electric Potential}_{\text{V}} = 0.000195$$

$$\therefore \ 195.0\ \text{μV} = 0.000195 \ \text{V}$$
