Convert Ohm to Kiloohm

Unit definitions

Ohm

The ohm is the SI unit of electric resistance. It is defined as the resistance of a conductor carrying one ampere of current with a potential difference of one volt.

Kiloohm

$10^{3} \ \Omega$ is a kiloohm.

How to convert Ohm to Kiloohm

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{Ω}}}{{10}^{3}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $35.0\ \text{Ω}$ to $\text{kΩ}$.

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{35.0}{{10}^{3}}$$

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = 0.035$$

$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{Ω} = 0.035 \ \text{kΩ}$$

Example 2

Convert $90.0\ \text{Ω}$ to $\text{kΩ}$.

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{90.0}{{10}^{3}}$$

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = 0.09$$

$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{Ω} = 0.09 \ \text{kΩ}$$

Example 3

Convert $105.0\ \text{Ω}$ to $\text{kΩ}$.

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{105.0}{{10}^{3}}$$

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = 0.105$$

$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{Ω} = 0.105 \ \text{kΩ}$$

Example 4

Convert $150.0\ \text{Ω}$ to $\text{kΩ}$.

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{150.0}{{10}^{3}}$$

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = 0.15$$

$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{Ω} = 0.15 \ \text{kΩ}$$

Example 5

Convert $165.0\ \text{Ω}$ to $\text{kΩ}$.

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = \frac{165.0}{{10}^{3}}$$

$$\text{Electric Resistance}_{\text{kΩ}} = 0.165$$

$$\therefore \ 165.0\ \text{Ω} = 0.165 \ \text{kΩ}$$
