Convert Decinewton to Newton

Unit definitions

Decinewton

${10}^{-1}$ newtons equal one decinewton.

Newton

The newton is the SI unit of force. It is the force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram at a rate of one meter per second squared.

How to convert Decinewton to Newton

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{\text{Force}_{\text{dN}}}{{10}^{1}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $35.0\ \text{dN}$ to $\text{N}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{35.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = 3.5$$

$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{dN} = 3.5 \ \text{N}$$

Example 2

Convert $70.0\ \text{dN}$ to $\text{N}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{70.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = 7$$

$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{dN} = 7 \ \text{N}$$

Example 3

Convert $100.0\ \text{dN}$ to $\text{N}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{100.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = 10$$

$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{dN} = 10 \ \text{N}$$

Example 4

Convert $145.0\ \text{dN}$ to $\text{N}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{145.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = 14.5$$

$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{dN} = 14.5 \ \text{N}$$

Example 5

Convert $175.0\ \text{dN}$ to $\text{N}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = \frac{175.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{N}} = 17.5$$

$$\therefore \ 175.0\ \text{dN} = 17.5 \ \text{N}$$
