How to convert Hectonewton to Kilonewton

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{\text{Force}_{\text{hN}}}{{10}^{1}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $20.0\ \text{hN}$ to $\text{kN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{20.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = 2$$

$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{hN} = 2 \ \text{kN}$$

Example 2

Convert $85.0\ \text{hN}$ to $\text{kN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{85.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = 8.5$$

$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{hN} = 8.5 \ \text{kN}$$

Example 3

Convert $105.0\ \text{hN}$ to $\text{kN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{105.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = 10.5$$

$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{hN} = 10.5 \ \text{kN}$$

Example 4

Convert $150.0\ \text{hN}$ to $\text{kN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{150.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = 15$$

$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{hN} = 15 \ \text{kN}$$

Example 5

Convert $185.0\ \text{hN}$ to $\text{kN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = \frac{185.0}{{10}^{1}}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{kN}} = 18.5$$

$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{hN} = 18.5 \ \text{kN}$$
