Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{mm}$ to $\text{cm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = \frac{25.0}{{10}^{1}}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = 2.5$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{mm} = 2.5 \ \text{cm}$$
Example 2

Example 3

$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = \frac{120.0}{{10}^{1}}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = 12$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{mm} = 12 \ \text{cm}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{mm}$ to $\text{cm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = \frac{140.0}{{10}^{1}}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{cm}} = 14$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{mm} = 14 \ \text{cm}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{mm}$ to $\text{cm}$.
