Convert Nanometer to Picometer
Unit definitions
Nanometer
$\frac{1}{10^{9}}$ of a meter is a nanometer.
Picometer
$\frac{1}{10^{12}}$ of a meter is a picometer.
How to convert Nanometer to Picometer
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = \text{Length}_{\text{nm}} \cdot {10}^{3}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $30.0\ \text{nm}$ to $\text{pm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 30.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 30000$$
$$\therefore \ 30.0\ \text{nm} = 30000 \ \text{pm}$$
Example 2
Convert $80.0\ \text{nm}$ to $\text{pm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 80.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 80000$$
$$\therefore \ 80.0\ \text{nm} = 80000 \ \text{pm}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{nm}$ to $\text{pm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 120.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 120000$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{nm} = 120000 \ \text{pm}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{nm}$ to $\text{pm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 140.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 140000$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{nm} = 140000 \ \text{pm}$$
Example 5
Convert $175.0\ \text{nm}$ to $\text{pm}$.
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 175.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Length}_{\text{pm}} = 175000$$
$$\therefore \ 175.0\ \text{nm} = 175000 \ \text{pm}$$
