Convert Hectogram to Gram

Unit definitions

Hectogram

$10^{2}$ grams is a hectogram.

Gram

$\frac{1}{10^{3}}$ of a kilogram is a gram.

How to convert Hectogram to Gram

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} \cdot 100$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $25.0\ \text{hg}$ to $\text{g}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 25.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 2500$$

$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{hg} = 2500 \ \text{g}$$

Example 2

Convert $60.0\ \text{hg}$ to $\text{g}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 60.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 6000$$

$$\therefore \ 60.0\ \text{hg} = 6000 \ \text{g}$$

Example 3

Convert $115.0\ \text{hg}$ to $\text{g}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 115.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 11500$$

$$\therefore \ 115.0\ \text{hg} = 11500 \ \text{g}$$

Example 4

Convert $145.0\ \text{hg}$ to $\text{g}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 145.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 14500$$

$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{hg} = 14500 \ \text{g}$$

Example 5

Convert $200.0\ \text{hg}$ to $\text{g}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 200.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 20000$$

$$\therefore \ 200.0\ \text{hg} = 20000 \ \text{g}$$
