Convert Kilogram to Decagram

Unit definitions

Kilogram

The kilogram is the SI base unit of mass. Since the 2019 redefinition of the SI base units, it is defined by using the fixed numerical value of the Planck's constant ($h$) to be $6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{J}\text{s}$. $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{J}\text{s}$$ $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{kg}\text{m}^2\text{s}^{-2}\cdot\text{s}$$ $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{kg}\text{m}^2\text{s}^{-1}$$ Therefore, $$1 \ \text{kg} = \frac{h}{6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{m}^2\text{s}^{-1}}$$ $$1 \ \text{kg} = \frac{h}{6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34}} \ \text{m}^{-2} \text{s}$$

Decagram

$10^{1}$ grams is a decagram.

How to convert Kilogram to Decagram

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = \text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} \cdot 100$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $20.0\ \text{kg}$ to $\text{dag}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 20.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 2000$$

$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{kg} = 2000 \ \text{dag}$$

Example 2

Convert $75.0\ \text{kg}$ to $\text{dag}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 75.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 7500$$

$$\therefore \ 75.0\ \text{kg} = 7500 \ \text{dag}$$

Example 3

Convert $100.0\ \text{kg}$ to $\text{dag}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 100.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 10000$$

$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{kg} = 10000 \ \text{dag}$$

Example 4

Convert $140.0\ \text{kg}$ to $\text{dag}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 140.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 14000$$

$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{kg} = 14000 \ \text{dag}$$

Example 5

Convert $200.0\ \text{kg}$ to $\text{dag}$.

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 200.0 \cdot 100$$

$$\text{Mass}_{\text{dag}} = 20000$$

$$\therefore \ 200.0\ \text{kg} = 20000 \ \text{dag}$$
