Convert Ounce to Kilogram
Unit definitions
Ounce
$\frac{1}{16}$ of a pound is an ounce. It is also known as the avoirdupois ounce.
Kilogram
The kilogram is the SI base unit of mass. Since the 2019 redefinition of the SI base units, it is defined by using the fixed numerical value of the Planck's constant ($h$) to be $6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{J}\text{s}$. $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{J}\text{s}$$ $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{kg}\text{m}^2\text{s}^{-2}\cdot\text{s}$$ $$h = 6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{kg}\text{m}^2\text{s}^{-1}$$ Therefore, $$1 \ \text{kg} = \frac{h}{6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34} \ \text{m}^2\text{s}^{-1}}$$ $$1 \ \text{kg} = \frac{h}{6.626\,070\,15 \times 10^{-34}} \ \text{m}^{-2} \text{s}$$
How to convert Ounce to Kilogram
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = \text{Mass}_{\text{oz}} \cdot 0.028349523125$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{oz}$ to $\text{kg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 35.0 \cdot 0.028349523125$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 0.992233$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{oz} = 0.992233 \ \text{kg}$$
Example 2
Convert $85.0\ \text{oz}$ to $\text{kg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 85.0 \cdot 0.028349523125$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 2.409709$$
$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{oz} = 2.409709 \ \text{kg}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{oz}$ to $\text{kg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 120.0 \cdot 0.028349523125$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 3.401943$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{oz} = 3.401943 \ \text{kg}$$
Example 4
Convert $130.0\ \text{oz}$ to $\text{kg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 130.0 \cdot 0.028349523125$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 3.685438$$
$$\therefore \ 130.0\ \text{oz} = 3.685438 \ \text{kg}$$
Example 5
Convert $175.0\ \text{oz}$ to $\text{kg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 175.0 \cdot 0.028349523125$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{kg}} = 4.961167$$
$$\therefore \ 175.0\ \text{oz} = 4.961167 \ \text{kg}$$
