Convert Centiwatt to Watt

Unit definitions

Centiwatt

$10^{-2}$ watts is a centiwatt.

Watt

The watt is the SI unit of power. It is defined as one joule per second ($1\ \text{W} = 1\ \text{J/s}$).

How to convert Centiwatt to Watt

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{\text{Power}_{\text{cW}}}{{10}^{2}}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $35.0\ \text{cW}$ to $\text{W}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{35.0}{{10}^{2}}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = 0.35$$

$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{cW} = 0.35 \ \text{W}$$

Example 2

Convert $90.0\ \text{cW}$ to $\text{W}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{90.0}{{10}^{2}}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = 0.9$$

$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{cW} = 0.9 \ \text{W}$$

Example 3

Convert $120.0\ \text{cW}$ to $\text{W}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{120.0}{{10}^{2}}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = 1.2$$

$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{cW} = 1.2 \ \text{W}$$

Example 4

Convert $130.0\ \text{cW}$ to $\text{W}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{130.0}{{10}^{2}}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = 1.3$$

$$\therefore \ 130.0\ \text{cW} = 1.3 \ \text{W}$$

Example 5

Convert $160.0\ \text{cW}$ to $\text{W}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = \frac{160.0}{{10}^{2}}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{W}} = 1.6$$

$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{cW} = 1.6 \ \text{W}$$
