Convert Watt to Deciwatt
Unit definitions
Watt
The watt is the SI unit of power. It is defined as one joule per second ($1\ \text{W} = 1\ \text{J/s}$).
Deciwatt
$10^{-1}$ watts is a deciwatt.
How to convert Watt to Deciwatt
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = \text{Power}_{\text{W}} \cdot {10}^{1}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $50.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{dW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 50.0 \cdot {10}^{1}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 500$$
$$\therefore \ 50.0\ \text{W} = 500 \ \text{dW}$$
Example 2
Convert $65.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{dW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 65.0 \cdot {10}^{1}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 650$$
$$\therefore \ 65.0\ \text{W} = 650 \ \text{dW}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{dW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 100.0 \cdot {10}^{1}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 1000$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{W} = 1000 \ \text{dW}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{dW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 140.0 \cdot {10}^{1}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 1400$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{W} = 1400 \ \text{dW}$$
Example 5
Convert $165.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{dW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 165.0 \cdot {10}^{1}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{dW}} = 1650$$
$$\therefore \ 165.0\ \text{W} = 1650 \ \text{dW}$$
