Convert Pascal to Kilopascal
Unit definitions
Pascal
The pascal is the SI unit of pressure. It is defined as one newton per square meter.
Kilopascal
One kilopascal equals $10^3$ pascals.
How to convert Pascal to Kilopascal
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{\text{Pressure}_{\text{Pa}}}{{10}^{3}}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{Pa}$ to $\text{kPa}$.
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{35.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = 0.035$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{Pa} = 0.035 \ \text{kPa}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{Pa}$ to $\text{kPa}$.
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{90.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = 0.09$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{Pa} = 0.09 \ \text{kPa}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{Pa}$ to $\text{kPa}$.
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{110.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = 0.11$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{Pa} = 0.11 \ \text{kPa}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{Pa}$ to $\text{kPa}$.
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{140.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = 0.14$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{Pa} = 0.14 \ \text{kPa}$$
Example 5
Convert $180.0\ \text{Pa}$ to $\text{kPa}$.
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = \frac{180.0}{{10}^{3}}$$
$$\text{Pressure}_{\text{kPa}} = 0.18$$
$$\therefore \ 180.0\ \text{Pa} = 0.18 \ \text{kPa}$$
