Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
Unit definitions
Celsius
Celsius is defined by the temperatures at which water freezes ($0 \ \text{°C}$) and boils ($100 \ \text{°C}$) at standard atmospheric pressure. Temperature in Celsius is equal to $\text{K} - 273.15$.
Fahrenheit
Fahrenheit is a scale commonly used in the United States. Temperature in $^{\circ}\text{F}$ is equal to $\text{K} \times \frac{9}{5} - 459.67$.
How to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = \text{Temperature}_{\text{°C}} \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{°C}$ to $\text{°F}$.
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 25.0 \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 77$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{°C} = 77 \ \text{°F}$$
Example 2
Convert $75.0\ \text{°C}$ to $\text{°F}$.
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 75.0 \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 167$$
$$\therefore \ 75.0\ \text{°C} = 167 \ \text{°F}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{°C}$ to $\text{°F}$.
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 100.0 \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 212$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{°C} = 212 \ \text{°F}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{°C}$ to $\text{°F}$.
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 140.0 \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 284$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{°C} = 284 \ \text{°F}$$
Example 5
Convert $165.0\ \text{°C}$ to $\text{°F}$.
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 165.0 \cdot \frac{9}{5} + 32$$
$$\text{Temperature}_{\text{°F}} = 329$$
$$\therefore \ 165.0\ \text{°C} = 329 \ \text{°F}$$
