Convert Deciliter to Liter
Unit definitions
Deciliter
$\frac{1}{10}$ of a liter is a deciliter.
Liter
The liter is a metric unit of volume equal to $1$ cubic decimeter (i.e., $10^{3}$ cubic centimeters). It is approximately equal to the mass of $1\ \text{kg}$ of water at room temperature.
How to convert Deciliter to Liter
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{\text{Volume}_{\text{dl}}}{10}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{dl}$ to $\text{l}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{35.0}{10}$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = 3.5$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{dl} = 3.5 \ \text{l}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{dl}$ to $\text{l}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{70.0}{10}$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = 7$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{dl} = 7 \ \text{l}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{dl}$ to $\text{l}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{100.0}{10}$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = 10$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{dl} = 10 \ \text{l}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{dl}$ to $\text{l}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{145.0}{10}$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = 14.5$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{dl} = 14.5 \ \text{l}$$
Example 5
Convert $190.0\ \text{dl}$ to $\text{l}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = \frac{190.0}{10}$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{l}} = 19$$
$$\therefore \ 190.0\ \text{dl} = 19 \ \text{l}$$
