Convert Byte to Kilobyte
Unit definitions
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
Kilobyte
${10}^{3}$ bytes equal one kilobyte.
How to convert Byte to Kilobyte
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}}}{1000}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{35.0}{1000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 0.035$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{B} = 0.035 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{90.0}{1000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 0.09$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{B} = 0.09 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{100.0}{1000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 0.1$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{B} = 0.1 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 4
Convert $135.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{135.0}{1000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 0.135$$
$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{B} = 0.135 \ \text{KB}$$
Example 5
Convert $170.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{KB}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = \frac{170.0}{1000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{KB}} = 0.17$$
$$\therefore \ 170.0\ \text{B} = 0.17 \ \text{KB}$$
