Convert Byte to Megabit
Unit definitions
Byte
$8$ bits equal one byte.
Megabit
${10}^{6}$ bits equal one megabit.
How to convert Byte to Megabit
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{B}}}{125000}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{35.0}{125000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00028$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{B} = 0.00028 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 2
Convert $85.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{85.0}{125000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00068$$
$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{B} = 0.00068 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{100.0}{125000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.0008$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{B} = 0.0008 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{140.0}{125000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00112$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{B} = 0.00112 \ \text{Mb}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{B}$ to $\text{Mb}$.
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = \frac{160.0}{125000}$$
$$\text{Data and Storage}_{\text{Mb}} = 0.00128$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{B} = 0.00128 \ \text{Mb}$$
