Convert Newton to Micronewton

Unit definitions

Newton

The newton is the SI unit of force. It is the force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram at a rate of one meter per second squared.

Micronewton

${10}^{-6}$ newtons equal one micronewton.

How to convert Newton to Micronewton

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = \text{Force}_{\text{N}} \cdot {10}^{6}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $40.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{µN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 40.0 \cdot {10}^{6}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 40000000$$

$$\therefore \ 40.0\ \text{N} = 40000000 \ \text{µN}$$

Example 2

Convert $60.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{µN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 60.0 \cdot {10}^{6}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 60000000$$

$$\therefore \ 60.0\ \text{N} = 60000000 \ \text{µN}$$

Example 3

Convert $120.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{µN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 120.0 \cdot {10}^{6}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 120000000$$

$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{N} = 120000000 \ \text{µN}$$

Example 4

Convert $135.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{µN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 135.0 \cdot {10}^{6}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 135000000$$

$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{N} = 135000000 \ \text{µN}$$

Example 5

Convert $185.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{µN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 185.0 \cdot {10}^{6}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{µN}} = 185000000$$

$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{N} = 185000000 \ \text{µN}$$
