Convert Newton to Nanonewton

Unit definitions

Newton

The newton is the SI unit of force. It is the force required to accelerate a mass of one kilogram at a rate of one meter per second squared.

Nanonewton

${10}^{-9}$ newtons equal one nanonewton.

How to convert Newton to Nanonewton

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = \text{Force}_{\text{N}} \cdot {10}^{9}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $45.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{nN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 45.0 \cdot {10}^{9}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 45000000000$$

$$\therefore \ 45.0\ \text{N} = 45000000000 \ \text{nN}$$

Example 2

Convert $80.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{nN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 80.0 \cdot {10}^{9}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 80000000000$$

$$\therefore \ 80.0\ \text{N} = 80000000000 \ \text{nN}$$

Example 3

Convert $115.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{nN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 115.0 \cdot {10}^{9}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 115000000000$$

$$\therefore \ 115.0\ \text{N} = 115000000000 \ \text{nN}$$

Example 4

Convert $135.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{nN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 135.0 \cdot {10}^{9}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 135000000000$$

$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{N} = 135000000000 \ \text{nN}$$

Example 5

Convert $185.0\ \text{N}$ to $\text{nN}$.

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 185.0 \cdot {10}^{9}$$

$$\text{Force}_{\text{nN}} = 185000000000$$

$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{N} = 185000000000 \ \text{nN}$$
