How to convert Carat to Gram
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{\text{Mass}_{\text{ct}}}{5}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{g}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{35.0}{5}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 7$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{ct} = 7 \ \text{g}$$
Example 2
Convert $60.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{g}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{60.0}{5}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 12$$
$$\therefore \ 60.0\ \text{ct} = 12 \ \text{g}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{g}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{100.0}{5}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 20$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{ct} = 20 \ \text{g}$$
Example 4
Convert $140.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{g}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{140.0}{5}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 28$$
$$\therefore \ 140.0\ \text{ct} = 28 \ \text{g}$$
Example 5
Convert $175.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{g}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = \frac{175.0}{5}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{g}} = 35$$
$$\therefore \ 175.0\ \text{ct} = 35 \ \text{g}$$
