Convert Carat to Microgram
Unit definitions
Carat
$\frac{2}{10}$ of a gram is a carat. It is used to measure the mass of gemstones.
Microgram
$\frac{1}{10^{6}}$ of a gram is a microgram.
How to convert Carat to Microgram
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = \text{Mass}_{\text{ct}} \cdot 200000$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $20.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{μg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 20.0 \cdot 200000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 4000000$$
$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{ct} = 4000000 \ \text{μg}$$
Example 2
Convert $85.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{μg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 85.0 \cdot 200000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 17000000$$
$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{ct} = 17000000 \ \text{μg}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{μg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 105.0 \cdot 200000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 21000000$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{ct} = 21000000 \ \text{μg}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{μg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 150.0 \cdot 200000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 30000000$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{ct} = 30000000 \ \text{μg}$$
Example 5
Convert $185.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{μg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 185.0 \cdot 200000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{μg}} = 37000000$$
$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{ct} = 37000000 \ \text{μg}$$
