Convert Carat to Nanogram
Unit definitions
Carat
$\frac{2}{10}$ of a gram is a carat. It is used to measure the mass of gemstones.
Nanogram
$\frac{1}{10^{9}}$ of a gram is a nanogram.
How to convert Carat to Nanogram
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = \text{Mass}_{\text{ct}} \cdot 200000000$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $20.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{ng}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 20.0 \cdot 200000000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 4000000000$$
$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{ct} = 4000000000 \ \text{ng}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{ng}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 90.0 \cdot 200000000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 18000000000$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{ct} = 18000000000 \ \text{ng}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{ng}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 105.0 \cdot 200000000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 21000000000$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{ct} = 21000000000 \ \text{ng}$$
Example 4
Convert $135.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{ng}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 135.0 \cdot 200000000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 27000000000$$
$$\therefore \ 135.0\ \text{ct} = 27000000000 \ \text{ng}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{ct}$ to $\text{ng}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 160.0 \cdot 200000000$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{ng}} = 32000000000$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{ct} = 32000000000 \ \text{ng}$$
