Convert Gram to Hectogram
Unit definitions
Gram
$\frac{1}{10^{3}}$ of a kilogram is a gram.
Hectogram
$10^{2}$ grams is a hectogram.
How to convert Gram to Hectogram
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{\text{Mass}_{\text{g}}}{100}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{g}$ to $\text{hg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{35.0}{100}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = 0.35$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{g} = 0.35 \ \text{hg}$$
Example 2
Convert $70.0\ \text{g}$ to $\text{hg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{70.0}{100}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = 0.7$$
$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{g} = 0.7 \ \text{hg}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{g}$ to $\text{hg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{110.0}{100}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = 1.1$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{g} = 1.1 \ \text{hg}$$
Example 4
Convert $130.0\ \text{g}$ to $\text{hg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{130.0}{100}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = 1.3$$
$$\therefore \ 130.0\ \text{g} = 1.3 \ \text{hg}$$
Example 5
Convert $195.0\ \text{g}$ to $\text{hg}$.
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = \frac{195.0}{100}$$
$$\text{Mass}_{\text{hg}} = 1.95$$
$$\therefore \ 195.0\ \text{g} = 1.95 \ \text{hg}$$
