Convert Watt to Centiwatt
Unit definitions
Watt
The watt is the SI unit of power. It is defined as one joule per second ($1\ \text{W} = 1\ \text{J/s}$).
Centiwatt
$10^{-2}$ watts is a centiwatt.
How to convert Watt to Centiwatt
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = \text{Power}_{\text{W}} \cdot {10}^{2}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $25.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{cW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 25.0 \cdot {10}^{2}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 2500$$
$$\therefore \ 25.0\ \text{W} = 2500 \ \text{cW}$$
Example 2
Convert $60.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{cW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 60.0 \cdot {10}^{2}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 6000$$
$$\therefore \ 60.0\ \text{W} = 6000 \ \text{cW}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{cW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 100.0 \cdot {10}^{2}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 10000$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{W} = 10000 \ \text{cW}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{cW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 145.0 \cdot {10}^{2}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 14500$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{W} = 14500 \ \text{cW}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{cW}$.
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 160.0 \cdot {10}^{2}$$
$$\text{Power}_{\text{cW}} = 16000$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{W} = 16000 \ \text{cW}$$
