Convert Watt to Decawatt

Unit definitions

Watt

The watt is the SI unit of power. It is defined as one joule per second ($1\ \text{W} = 1\ \text{J/s}$).

Decawatt

$10^{1}$ watts is a decawatt.

How to convert Watt to Decawatt

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{\text{Power}_{\text{W}}}{10}$$

Examples

Example 1

Convert $20.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{daW}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{20.0}{10}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = 2$$

$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{W} = 2 \ \text{daW}$$

Example 2

Convert $70.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{daW}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{70.0}{10}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = 7$$

$$\therefore \ 70.0\ \text{W} = 7 \ \text{daW}$$

Example 3

Convert $110.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{daW}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{110.0}{10}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = 11$$

$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{W} = 11 \ \text{daW}$$

Example 4

Convert $150.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{daW}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{150.0}{10}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = 15$$

$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{W} = 15 \ \text{daW}$$

Example 5

Convert $180.0\ \text{W}$ to $\text{daW}$.

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = \frac{180.0}{10}$$

$$\text{Power}_{\text{daW}} = 18$$

$$\therefore \ 180.0\ \text{W} = 18 \ \text{daW}$$
