Convert Nanosecond to Millisecond
Unit definitions
Nanosecond
$\frac{1}{10^{9}}$ of a second is a nanosecond.
Millisecond
$\frac{1}{10^{3}}$ of a second is a millisecond.
How to convert Nanosecond to Millisecond
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{\text{Time}_{\text{ns}}}{{10}^{6}}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $40.0\ \text{ns}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{40.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 0.00004$$
$$\therefore \ 40.0\ \text{ns} = 0.00004 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{ns}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{90.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 0.00009$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{ns} = 0.00009 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 3
Convert $120.0\ \text{ns}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{120.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 0.00012$$
$$\therefore \ 120.0\ \text{ns} = 0.00012 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 4
Convert $130.0\ \text{ns}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{130.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 0.00013$$
$$\therefore \ 130.0\ \text{ns} = 0.00013 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 5
Convert $180.0\ \text{ns}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \frac{180.0}{{10}^{6}}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 0.00018$$
$$\therefore \ 180.0\ \text{ns} = 0.00018 \ \text{ms}$$
