Convert Second to Millisecond
Unit definitions
Second
The second is the SI base unit of time. A second is defined as the duration of $9\,192\,631\,770$ periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium-133 atom.
Millisecond
$\frac{1}{10^{3}}$ of a second is a millisecond.
How to convert Second to Millisecond
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = \text{Time}_{\text{s}} \cdot {10}^{3}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $35.0\ \text{s}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 35.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 35000$$
$$\therefore \ 35.0\ \text{s} = 35000 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 2
Convert $85.0\ \text{s}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 85.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 85000$$
$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{s} = 85000 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{s}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 105.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 105000$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{s} = 105000 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{s}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 150.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 150000$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{s} = 150000 \ \text{ms}$$
Example 5
Convert $160.0\ \text{s}$ to $\text{ms}$.
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 160.0 \cdot {10}^{3}$$
$$\text{Time}_{\text{ms}} = 160000$$
$$\therefore \ 160.0\ \text{s} = 160000 \ \text{ms}$$
