Convert Liter to Centiliter
Unit definitions
Liter
The liter is a metric unit of volume equal to $1$ cubic decimeter (i.e., $10^{3}$ cubic centimeters). It is approximately equal to the mass of $1\ \text{kg}$ of water at room temperature.
Centiliter
$\frac{1}{10^{2}}$ of a liter is a centiliter.
How to convert Liter to Centiliter
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = \text{Volume}_{\text{l}} \cdot 100$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $40.0\ \text{l}$ to $\text{cl}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 40.0 \cdot 100$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 4000$$
$$\therefore \ 40.0\ \text{l} = 4000 \ \text{cl}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{l}$ to $\text{cl}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 90.0 \cdot 100$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 9000$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{l} = 9000 \ \text{cl}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{l}$ to $\text{cl}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 110.0 \cdot 100$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 11000$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{l} = 11000 \ \text{cl}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{l}$ to $\text{cl}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 150.0 \cdot 100$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 15000$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{l} = 15000 \ \text{cl}$$
Example 5
Convert $195.0\ \text{l}$ to $\text{cl}$.
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 195.0 \cdot 100$$
$$\text{Volume}_{\text{cl}} = 19500$$
$$\therefore \ 195.0\ \text{l} = 19500 \ \text{cl}$$
