Convert Grade to Arcminute (Minute Angle)
Unit definitions
Grade
A grade is defined as $\frac{1}{400}$ of a revolution. It is also known as the gon or the gradian.
Arcminute (Minute Angle)
$\frac{1}{60}$ of a degree is an arcminute.
How to convert Grade to Arcminute (Minute Angle)
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = \text{Angle}_{\text{grad}} \cdot 54$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $30.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{′}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 30.0 \cdot 54$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 1620$$
$$\therefore \ 30.0\ \text{grad} = 1620 \ \text{′}$$
Example 2
Convert $85.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{′}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 85.0 \cdot 54$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 4590$$
$$\therefore \ 85.0\ \text{grad} = 4590 \ \text{′}$$
Example 3
Convert $105.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{′}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 105.0 \cdot 54$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 5670$$
$$\therefore \ 105.0\ \text{grad} = 5670 \ \text{′}$$
Example 4
Convert $145.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{′}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 145.0 \cdot 54$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 7830$$
$$\therefore \ 145.0\ \text{grad} = 7830 \ \text{′}$$
Example 5
Convert $185.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{′}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 185.0 \cdot 54$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{′}} = 9990$$
$$\therefore \ 185.0\ \text{grad} = 9990 \ \text{′}$$
