Convert Grade to Revolution
Unit definitions
Grade
A grade is defined as $\frac{1}{400}$ of a revolution. It is also known as the gon or the gradian.
Revolution
One revolution is equal to $2\pi$ radians (i.e., a full circle).
How to convert Grade to Revolution
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{\text{Angle}_{\text{grad}}}{400}$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $20.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{rev}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{20.0}{400}$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = 0.05$$
$$\therefore \ 20.0\ \text{grad} = 0.05 \ \text{rev}$$
Example 2
Convert $90.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{rev}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{90.0}{400}$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = 0.225$$
$$\therefore \ 90.0\ \text{grad} = 0.225 \ \text{rev}$$
Example 3
Convert $100.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{rev}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{100.0}{400}$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = 0.25$$
$$\therefore \ 100.0\ \text{grad} = 0.25 \ \text{rev}$$
Example 4
Convert $130.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{rev}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{130.0}{400}$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = 0.325$$
$$\therefore \ 130.0\ \text{grad} = 0.325 \ \text{rev}$$
Example 5
Convert $195.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{rev}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = \frac{195.0}{400}$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{rev}} = 0.4875$$
$$\therefore \ 195.0\ \text{grad} = 0.4875 \ \text{rev}$$
