Convert Grade to Degree
Unit definitions
Grade
A grade is defined as $\frac{1}{400}$ of a revolution. It is also known as the gon or the gradian.
Degree
The degree is a unit of angle commonly used in daily life. One full circle consists of $360$ degrees.
How to convert Grade to Degree
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = \text{Angle}_{\text{grad}} \cdot 0.9$$
Examples
Example 1
Convert $40.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{°}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 40.0 \cdot 0.9$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 36$$
$$\therefore \ 40.0\ \text{grad} = 36 \ \text{°}$$
Example 2
Convert $75.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{°}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 75.0 \cdot 0.9$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 67.5$$
$$\therefore \ 75.0\ \text{grad} = 67.5 \ \text{°}$$
Example 3
Convert $110.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{°}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 110.0 \cdot 0.9$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 99$$
$$\therefore \ 110.0\ \text{grad} = 99 \ \text{°}$$
Example 4
Convert $150.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{°}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 150.0 \cdot 0.9$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 135$$
$$\therefore \ 150.0\ \text{grad} = 135 \ \text{°}$$
Example 5
Convert $165.0\ \text{grad}$ to $\text{°}$.
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 165.0 \cdot 0.9$$
$$\text{Angle}_{\text{°}} = 148.5$$
$$\therefore \ 165.0\ \text{grad} = 148.5 \ \text{°}$$
